Official Announcement on JeSU’ s JAPAN eSPORTS GRAND PRIX

“Japan national representative selection + 5 ,000,000JPY Cash Pool”

JeSU ( Japan eSports Union) will hold a 4 day major online eSports event Japan eSports Grand Prix which will take place from 24th Sep to 27th Sep.

The main purpose of this event is to uplift the eSports scene in Japan and to select the national representative that can compete at the global level. The national representative will be selected from 3 game titles (PES 2021, Clash Royale and PUBG) to compete in the “Esports Championship East Asia” which will be held in Korea. As with Street Fighter V, this tournament will be the first-ever tournament only open for players with a Japan eSports license to determine the No. 1 player in Japan. The national representative will be selected for the upcoming international tournament which will be announced later. For the 4 titles, a total sum of 5,000,000 JPY will be set as the total prize pool.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, Japan eSports Grand Prix will leverage the characteristics of eSports as entertainment content which can be enjoyed online and will propose a new experiential value in watching eSports. The event will be completely online, utilizing the cutting edge technology of the photorealistic virtual studio solution,「 Zero Density」 as well as AI live translation in 3 different languages, (English, Chinese, Korean ) to stream throughout the world.

This event will be co-sponsored by one of Japan’s biggest eSports event, “ Tokyo Game Show 2020 ONLINE” and will also be shown on a special online venue inside Amazon.co.jp within the Tokyo Game Show 2020 ONLINE page. (Only Japanese)
